What is Cymatherapy?
Cymatherapy is the combined application of audible sound and magnetic energy that is used for the purpose of healing and gently restoring balance to the body's physical, mental and energetic systems.

Introducing the CYMA 1000
The Cyma 1000 is the latest Cymatherapy instrument. With over 45 years of technical  development, it includes a state of the art computer console with the ability to apply several
hundred combined sets of therapeutic
frequencies to the body using a
hand held applicator.

The Cyma 1000 delivers precise combinations of frequencies associated with healthy tissue and organ systems. When applied to the body, these sound waves help to normalise imbalances and synchronise the cell's frequency back to its natural state of vibrational resonance. Like other holistic techniques, Cymatherapy supports the
body's natural ability to heal itself.

What to expect during a treatment
Following your initial and comprehensive health evaluation, a set of CYMA settings (commonly known as commutations) will be selected that are relevant to your physical, mental and energetic needs. Each of these commutations will then be programmed into the computer console and applied individually to the body using the hand held applicator. The output from the applicator will be felt as a gentle and often soothing vibration upon the body.

Initially you will treated with commutations that are used to repair energetic disturbances in energy fields and systems that interface with the physical body. Examples of these systems include the chakra or meridian system and are often associated and treated with traditional Eastern therapies such as acupunture and ayurveda. Cymatherapy works specifically with these systems in the initial stages of treatment based upon the idea that many physical or emotional problems intially manifest within these outer energy fields.

Once the intitial energetic part of the treatment is completed then commutations for relevant physical and psychological conditions will be implemented. Each commutation will be applied to the body via the applicator to the area where the problem exists. You may be asked from time to time whether you feel certain sensations such as tingling, heat or a release of mental or physical tension. These sensations are important to monitor as they are good indicators that a healing reaction is taking place. Each commutation that produces these types of sensation will be used longer and recorded for use in future treatments.

In addition to Cymatherapy, each treatment session often includes other therapies such as massage and relaxing breathing exercises. However, this will depend upon time availability and your individual needs.

Cymatherapy ~ Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What does it treat?

A: Due to its subtle and penetrative nature, Cymatherapy can be used to treat most health conditions. It is most commonly used to provide support for muscle and joint conditions, pain management and stress relief. However, it can also be helpful in treating symptoms of conditions such as athsma, headaches, chronic pain, hormone problems, fibromyalgia, strokes, depression and addiction.

Q: How long does a treatment take?

A: A treatment will take between 30-75 minutes depending upon your needs and whether additional therapies are used.

Q: How long before I feel the effects?

A: Some people experience a significant reduction in symptoms straight away, although it may take up to 24 hours to experience the full benefits.

Q: Are there any conditions Cymatherapy cannot treat?

A: Due to its subtle nature, there are very few conditions Cymatherapy cannot be used for. However, you cannot be treated if you have an electrical implant fitted, such as a pace maker or if you are pregnant.

Q: How many treatments will I need?

A: The number of treatments will depend upon the complexity and severity of your health problems, along with your ability to follow suggested aftercare recommendations. Minor health problems can often be resolved with 3-5 treatments over a 2 week period. Severe problems may require a series of 8-10 treatments. If you have a chronic (long-term) problem then you may prefer to have regular weekly or monthly treatments.

Will it cause me any pain?

Cymatherapy is a very subtle and often soothing therapy. It has not been known to cause pain during a treatment. However, as with all holistic therapies you may encounter a minor healing response following a treatment. A minor healing response occurs when the body therapeutically releases toxins, unpleasant emotions and stress resulting in one or more sensations such as headache, sweating, vivid dreams, muscle soreness, fatigue or hyperactivity. These healing responses, if they occur, should be mild and short-term disappearing within 24 hours. During this time, it is important that you keep yourself properly hydrated with water, minimize consumption of toxins or stimulants and avoid stress where possible.

Q: How will I know its working?

A: As mentioned above, a sensation of tingling, heat or tension release during or shortly after a treatment session commonly indicate the treatment is working, so you will know very quickly if this type of treatment is appropriate for you.

Q: What are the success rates for this kind of treatment? / Does it work for everybody?

A: An average of 80% of the people treated with Cymatherapy at Natural Holistics experience a therapeutic response, resulting in a significant reduction of symptoms. Anyone who is unresponsive to this therapy can often be provided a suitable therapeutic alternative offered at the clinic. Referrals to other specialist practitioners or your GP will also be provided for those who require it.

The science and development of Cymatherapy

A brief history...

Cymatherapy (originally known as Cymatics) evolved from much earlier research into energy medicine.

There are many early pioneers of subtle energy research including Dr Albert Einstein, Dr Albert Abrams, Semon Kirlian, Dr Harold Burr, Dr Samuel Hahnemann and Dr Reinhard Voll, to name but a few!!
All of these scientists and physicians have contributed many insights leading to the identification of energetic systems and subtle magnetic frequencies associated with biological systems, which are now applied through Cymatherapy.
Early research from figures such as Ernst Chladni, Jules Lissajous, and Dr Hans Jenny (1904-1972) have helped discover the value of audible sound in producing structure and regulation of motion within many subtances, all of which are the same or very similar to those found within the body.
All of the above insights, along with teachings and practice of many ancient healing arts have helped in the development of Cymatherapy settings and techniques. However, it was not until the 1960's that British Dr Peter Guy Manners brought together a catlogue of therapeutic sound and magnetic frequencies and worked with an engineer to create one of the world’s first Cymatic instruments. Over the last 45 years, the instrument has undergone many developements. The Cyma 1000 is the most recent and exciting development in Cymatherapy's history.
